As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, February Star Sanctuary relies heavily on tax deductible monetary donations from our supporters. When you donate to FSS, your monetary contribution allows us to direct funding to areas we need it the most, when we need it the most. In addition to financial support, we also appreciate gifts such as horse feed, cat food and hay. Thank you!

Sponsor a Horse
Take your help to the next level! We appreciate every donation we receive, but if you are looking to do more with your financial contribution and take the next step, you can sponsor a horse! We have multiple horses available for sponsorship, including some that are rideable.
What does it mean to be a sponsor? A sponsor is able to directly interact with the horse they choose to sponsor. If you have a favorite horse, which we know many of you do, it's a great way to directly contribute to their care. If you don't yet have a favorite, it's a great way to get more involved. As a sponsor, you can participate in essential activities such as grooming and feeding, and if your horse is rideable, you can take them out for a ride! And of course, many of our horses up for sponsorship are available for hugs and snuggles!

Sponsor a Kitten
Did you know that nearly every day, we get asked to take in new kittens to our sanctuary? As much as our heart aches for them, as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, the costs to accept these kittens put an enormous strain on our funds and resources, which can also affect our ability to help other animals at our sanctuary. In addition to needing vaccinations, worm treatment and spay/neuter surgeries, many of the kittens that come to our rescue require significant respiratory treatment. We know that if we don’t take in such kittens, and other rescues are full, the kittens will likely end up feral, reproduce and further the cat overpopulation crisis in our communities. You can now help us combat this crisis and care for these vulnerable kittens.

Once your donation is received, if you would like to come to our sanctuary and interact with your assigned kitten, we would love to see you! If you don’t live locally, we will send you a picture of the kitten you’re sponsoring. Any donation amount is appreciated. If you have family and friends who would also love to help a kitten in need, please feel free to share our information.

Volunteer Your Time
Can you help? Those who volunteer with FSS can expect hands-on involvement in daily activities with horses and cats.
Individuals who volunteer with our horses can expect to participate in feeding, cleaning, grooming and more. If you choose to volunteer 20 hours or more per month, you can enjoy the privilege of horseback riding.
